Guides for International students applying to the IQB

At the IQB, you will go on to the graduate school of the University of
Tokyo to which your laboratory PI belongs. Therefore IQB accepts students
from wide life science fields.
Beyond your specialized field, you can experience the latest research
experience from various fields using cutting-edge technologies.
Q: How to join the IQB as a graduate student?
A: You need to pass the entrance examination for the appropriate graduate
school to which your advisor belongs at the University of Tokyo.
Q: Can I take a look at the laboratory?
A: Yes. Please contact the laboratory PI you wish to attend.
Q: Do you accept the over sea students?
A: Of course. We welcome all students.
Q: What is the ratio between men and women at the IQB?
A: The ratio is about 2 to 1. Recently, the number of women is increasing.
Q: How many graduate students are enrolled?
A: There are about 70 master and doctor students in total.
